PeraHealth has announced the 2019 Rothman Index Award winners, bestowing the honors on hospitals and individuals who have used the Rothman Index to improve clinical outcomes, implement innovative technology applications, and author peer-reviewed publications. PeraHealth presented the awards as a Day 1 finale for the TRENDS 2019 Rothman Index Customer Conference in Baltimore on September 26.
The Rothman Index Award for Patient and Family Communication is presented for using the Rothman Index to assist in objective conversations and engagement with patients and their family members.
The Sinai Hospital team is passionate about the care it provides patients. This care includes helping communication between caregivers and the patient and their support team. Sinai has numerous examples of using the Rothman Index and patient trend graphs to help communicate the patient’s condition and the best path forward. Providers show patients and family members their Rothman Index graphs. The team created a Patient/Family Rothman Index brochure explaining the Rothman Index and how it works.
