PeraHealth announces that its PeraTrend solution is now available through Epic’s App Orchard Marketplace

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – October 26, 2017 – PeraHealth, a provider of predictive, real-time clinical surveillance solutions, announces that its PeraTrend solution is now available through Epic’s App Orchard Marketplace, which officially opened in late September. By integrating with one of the nation’s largest EHR system providers, PeraHealth enables clinicians using Epic to get the most out of their EHR investment by leveraging PeraTrend, a real-time clinical surveillance tool that visualizes patient condition, allowing them to detect subtle signs of patient deterioration and intervene sooner.

“Combining PeraHealth’s software with Epic’s EHR data amplifies the power of that patient information contained within the EHR in a way that brings even more value,” says Edward Yurcisin, senior vice president and chief technology officer at PeraHealth. “Easy integration with Epic’s EHR platform enables greater interoperability and helps clinicians streamline workflow by tapping into clinical insights that help drive important care decisions sooner.”

PeraTrend is powered by the Rothman Index (RI), a general measure of patient condition for healthcare providers, and utilizes real-time data to quantify and visualize patient acuity and risk. PeraHealth is one of the first members to join App Orchard, which is now open for Epic customers to access third-party digital health solutions configured to work within Epic’s system.

About PeraHealth

PeraHealth is a software company that uses the Rothman Index to transform the clinical and financial efficiency of healthcare. The Rothman Index is the first algorithm that derives one simple score from the vast amount of data in the electronic medical record to create a picture of any patient’s condition over time – any age, any disease, any care setting. It is the only algorithm proven to reduce mortality in practice. Other results include reducing length of stay and readmissions. Our customers are leading hospitals and clinicians who need to identify patients at risk of rapid decline, make decisions about transfer and discharge, predict the risk of severe infection, and improve the overall efficiency and quality of care.
